The Batesville Herald Tribune discusses the status of the Sunman Regional Sewer District.
“I took up a petition and went to the (June 3) meeting,” noted Donna McCool, Sunman. “We didn’t get any answers. We don’t know who is proposing it or what’s proposed .... (but) we would like to get it withdrawn permanently .... We’ve had Cleo Duncan’s support, and the (Ripley County) commissioners don’t think it’s necessary.”
Today, State Representative Cleo Duncan (R-Greensburg) announced she will seek reelection to the Indiana House of Representatives in House District 67. “The decision to run for reelection was not difficult to make,” Duncan said. “There is much to accomplish and representing District 67 in the legislature is an honor.” Duncan represents most of Rush County, all of Decatur County, most of Ripley County and Batesville in Franklin County.
Duncan highlighted some of the main reasons why she has decided to run for re-election. “There are many reasons I have made the decision to run for re-election. First and foremost are property taxes. I want to find a long-term solution and help relieve much of the stress Hoosiers have felt around the state with their property tax bills. When the 2008 legislative session concludes, meaningful permanent property tax reform needs to exist.”
